Perfect location for seeing the local life and residents and for walks around the Paddy fields, or a short drive to the valley for seeing the water wheels or doing a raft experience. We drove in via Mai Chau which was also an interesting introduction to the main event. Visit soon before it becomes too busy as new homestays are popping up all around.

I had a good trip at Mai Chau and Pu Luong. Biking, treks through different scenery (mountains, jungle, rice paddies), a bamboo boat ride, clean homestay, and great food throughout. Countryside was beautiful. It was great to get out of the city for a few days. My guide was excellent. Very helpful in pointing out the local sights, plants, animals and how they relate to the culture. Highly recommended. Great value

Wow - this was a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. The rice paddies are so beautiful, breathtaking photos. The staff are delightful and cannot do enough for you. The room was very different, we had a bath outside and a tree in our toilet - amazing view and so peaceful! Food was great. We were lucky enough to have two guided walks and they were fabulous, we saw so much in the villages below and the families are just so friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this retreat, etched in my mind as one of the most interesting, peaceful, beautiful places I have visited.
